The issue is, Instagram will most likely no longer get you the results you are looking for. Kind of like when Facebook pages lost their reach and effectiveness. As more and more people find a platform that works, the competition increases, your reach decreases and so does the payoff on your efforts. That’s why I am coming up with this new 5-step formula, specifically for attraction marketing. As times change, I will be able to update the formula to include the strategies to get you real results.

Step One: Pick a Niche

Picking your niche is not only the first step, but it’s also the most important one. Picking the wrong niche will mean you may have to start over down the line. Believe me, I know what I am talking about, I started 3 Websites before finding the niche that works best for me. Let me share some of the most important factors you should take into consideration before you pick your niche: how you will sell your products online or build your team, how you will narrow down your niche and how you will be able to find enough content ideas.

How to Sell Your Products Online

The most popular network marketers who promote attraction marketing right now seem to focus on giving network marketing advice using more traditional strategies like prospecting and networking. It’s kind of ironic, isn’t it? I am not sure how much success these network marketers are having as far as building their own team that way. My experience is with selling products for the time being. After all, even when you prospect your family and friends, most often than not, you talk about the products. Then, when your customers are in love with the products, they may decide to build a business. For this reason, I recommend you pick your niche by giving some serious thought to how your products are going to be promoted as a solution in that niche.

How to Narrow Dow Your Niche

To increase your chance of success, I recommend you narrow down your niche as much as possible. Pick a really specific topic. “Health and Wellness for Weight Loss” won’t cut it! Let’s say you decided that you will be focusing on selling your MLM weight loss product on your blog. What differentiates your weight loss products from other weight loss products? For example, maybe your products help improve gut health and reduce cravings. Your niche could be all centered around these topics. In this competitive online world, you will improve your traffic more quickly if you pick a narrow topic and blog over and over again about the same narrow topics from different angles. So, think of how you can narrow down your niche while still having enough content ideas.

How to Find Content Ideas

As you brainstorm ways to sell your products and narrow down your niche, it’s a good idea to figure out what kind of content you will be creating. I already mentioned the importance of understanding how your products will fit in your niche. That should give you some post ideas. You will come up with some specific post ideas that promote your products as a solution in a subtle manner. That should give you some content ideas. For example, maybe your company offers a shake that can be used in the context of a meal plan. If the narrow niche you selected was gut health, you could create a meal plan that is geared towards helping people improve their gut health and include your shake in the meal plan. As you create content, include your products in your posts as often as possible. However, sometimes, your content will be strictly to offer value and get more traffic. Step Two: Set Up a Blog

After, you picked your niche, time to get to work and step up your blog. To make sales online, you need people to see how what you are offering is going to help them. A blog is the most effective tool to do that because most network marketers will not want to deal with the initial hurdle of setting up a Website.

Step Three: Set Up Your YouTube Channel

I know of some network marketers you have been seeing success with just a YouTube Channel, not even a blog. That’s why I think a YouTube channel is an essential step for network marketers who want to build their MLM online using attraction marketing. Videos have been recognized as an effective attraction marketing strategy for years. Most attraction marketing gurus recommend live videos on Facebook or Instagram because they are more accessible for the average person. However, for real and lasting results, I recommend YouTube videos.

YouTube vs. Live Videos

Attraction marketing experts recommend videos because videos are the most powerful way to establish a personal connection with your audience. Yes, live videos can have that power. The problem is, after you post your live videos, they will get you very little exposure unless they go viral, which is really rare. YouTube, on the other hand, requires more work upfront but will bring in traffic for years after you post your videos. Also, if like me, you struggle in front of a camera, videos that you create for YouTube are perfect because you get to edit all the fumbling out!

YouTube vs. Blog

I mentioned that some network marketers are seeing success with just YouTube. However, you will notice that if you follow my formula, you will be creating a blog first. The reason I encourage you to create a blog is that long term, a blog will enable you to not only get more traffic to your YouTube channel, but it will also enable you to make sales on its own. If I had to pick between YouTube and a blog, I would pick a blog. Both work in synergy for attraction marketing, but a blog has more potential to bring the traffic you need to make sales online.

Step Four: Increase Your Traffic

Speaking of traffic, step four of my formula is to increase your traffic. How can you possibly make sales if no one is seeing what you offer? The main traffic source I get to my blogs are: Pinterest, Google, YouTube, and my social media accounts.


All I do is pin one Pinterest image for each one of my posts. That’s it! Even then, Pinterest accounts for over 60% of my traffic. That’s another reason I suggest a blog over a YouTube channel. My YouTube channel is growing steadily mainly because people are finding my channel through my pinned blog posts. You can improve your Pinterest traffic further by creating multiple Pinterest images and pinning them throughout the week. I haven’t done that yet, but that’s something I intend to experiment with in the near future.


Google will be the most reliable and steady source of traffic over time. It takes longer to acquire Google traffic than Pinterest traffic, but if you do your SEO right, your Google traffic will keep increasing. Pinterest traffic seems to go up and down. However, Google traffic increases as you produce consistent content in your niche. Youtube is my third best source of traffic. My YouTube videos also allowed me to make my first sales. That’s why I included YouTube in this 5-step formula.

Social Media Accounts

I do still get traffic from my social media accounts. It accounts for a small proportion of my overall traffic, but I would say it’s more engaged traffic. People who click on your links from your social media accounts are actively looking to learn more about what you do. It’s worth keeping up your social media accounts. I encourage you to create a business Facebook page for your blog. All you need to do is post your blog posts to your page every week. People will follow your page from your blog.

Makeover Your Social Media Accounts

When you are getting started, it’s a good idea to focus on your personal social media accounts rather than creating a bunch of new social media accounts. Having too many social media accounts will be overwhelming, time-consuming, and will not pay off much. Of course, if you have a personal social media account where you love sharing family photos, you can keep it and create a new one for business purposes. However, many of us just share once in while on social media anyway. If that’s you, then makeover your personal account for your blog. You don’t need to post daily and spend hours planning your social media presence. Just find ways to include info about your blog in the context of your life.

Step Five: Get Started With Email Marketing

Last, but not least, you are going to get started with email marketing. Once you have all the other steps under control, time to create a freebie to offer on your blog in exchange for your readers’ email addresses. That’s attraction marketing at its finest right there! You are expanding your network and getting people’s email addresses all on autopilot! Once you have your readers’ email addresses you can let them know about sales, give more value to establish a relationship with them, and even personally contact them.

Create a Sales Funnel

Your sales funnel is the most effective aspect of your email marketing. People are most excited about what you have to offer right after they sign up for your freebie. Take advantage of it by sending a series of automated emails. Typically, a sales funnel will last a few days. At first, you send more value on the same topic as your freebie. Then, you introduce your product and explain how it can solve a pain point that relates to it all. You also give your subscribers an incentive to purchase your product right now (it could be a free call with you, a free ebook, a free training, etc.).
