How Network Marketing Bloggers Build Their Businesses Online On Autopilot

Before writing this post about network marketing bloggers, I looked at what other pages came up when you search for the keywords. All the results included a list of network marketing professionals who had a blog. If that’s what you are looking for, you won’t find it here. However, you will get something better. I am going to explain exactly how network marketing bloggers build their businesses online on autopilot. If that’s something you want for your network marketing business, keep reading.

Build Your Business Online as a Network Marketing Blogger

Building your network marketing business using a network marketing blog works pretty much the same way as earning a blogging income as an affiliate. In fact, I do promote some affiliate products on my blog in addition to my network marketing products. However, I find that I can earn a better commission through my network marketing company. Another advantage of network marketing over affiliate companies is the ability to personally reach out to your customers. That’s what network marketing is about, relationships!

Find Your Niche

I talk about finding your niche a lot in my blog posts. For good reason, it’s the most single important factor that will improve your chances of success. Not only you have to find a niche congruent with your network marketing products, but you have to find a niche that is narrow enough to increase your blog traffic fast.

The Right Niche for Your Network Marketing Blog

Creating a blog about network marketing is an option, and if you look online, you will find that’s what most network marketing bloggers do. They teach network marketers how to build their network marketing businesses. However, that’s not what I am going to teach you here. This blog helps me earn an income through the sale of digital products, not my network marketing company. I suspect most network marketing gurus are also mostly selling digital products on their blogs. The purpose of this post is to help you get customers for your MLM on autopilot. Creating a blog to teach other network marketers to grow their businesses is not how I have been able to consistently increase my customer base. Instead, I have created some niche blogs that revolve around my network marketing products.

Pick Your Niche Blog for Your Network Marketing Products

There are two main factors you need to take into consideration when picking your niche to sell your network marketing products:

  1. Your niche has to be related to your network marketing products in a way you can offer them as a solution to your readers for whatever problems they want to solve. For example, if you sell hair care and personal care products, think about what kind of questions people who would buy these products are asking themselves. You could cater to women over forty who are looking for ways to look young younger and blog about real solutions, which would include your products.
  2. Your niche has to be narrower than you think. Some people have said that blogging is dead. This is not true at all! I started my blogs over the last 2 years and they are all gaining traffic and making sales. I think people who say that are under this impression because many blogs fail and most of them because they are focused on a broad niche. To succeed as a blogger these days, you need a niche blog. A niche blog is a blog that covers a narrow niche. For example, if we keep the women-over-forty niche, you can narrow it down by making sure your blog focus on a more specific topic in their lives. It could be fashion, home life, beauty, etc. It doesn’t mean you should never blog about the other topics, but as you grow your blog traffic, it’s a good idea to focus on one only.

So pick a narrow niche that is congruent with your network marketing products and you will be able to make sales online. Just understand that you will need to get traffic first to make sales online. Your first few months of blogging will be all about gaining more traffic.

Create a Network Marketing Blog

Again, when I say “network marketing blog”, I don’t mean “a blog about network marketing”, I mean a blog that will sell your network marketing products. Make sure you don’t use a free blogging platform, instead set up a self-hosted blog using wordpress.org. Why? Because the customization options will be endless and your blog will be much more professional. If you want to earn an income through your blog, you need to treat your blog like a business. You don’t know how to set up a self-hosted blog? No problem, I offer a 30-minute workshop for you to learn to do just that.

Grow Your Traffic

As I mentioned already, the most important aspect of making sales online will be your blog traffic. Most likely, you won’t make any sales for months as a beginner. Most blogging courses say to give yourself a three-month period of blogging without earning an income. I think chances are, it will take even longer. One of my blogs took well over 9 months to start making sales (my niche was a bit more competitive), the other one (which is has a more narrow niche), took around 4 or 5 months. It also really depends on how frequently you blog. The more often you blog, the faster you will be able to increase your blog traffic. I blog only once a week, but I did blog more often (2-3 times a week) for a while.

Pinterest

All bloggers will tell you that Pinterest is one of the most effective platforms to increase your blog traffic. Pinterest still accounts for the majority of my blog traffic even though I need to up my Pinterest game (my Pinterest traffic has been declining while my Google traffic has been increasing). Pinterest traffic is the easiest type of traffic to grow fast, but it will decline if you don’t keep it up.

When you are just getting started with your blog, there are a few things you can do to improve your Pinterest traffic:

  • Make sure you get a Business account on Pinterest and claim your Website.
  • Make professional looking pins for each of your blog posts using a template to save time. Canva.com offers some Pinterest templates.
  • Manually pin from your Website every time your publish a blog post, but even better, create multiple pins for each of your blog posts and pin them manually over the course of the week.

You can follow more elaborate strategies to grow your Pinterest traffic, but these three key points should be sufficient to get you started.

SEO

SEO traffic is the best kind of traffic. It’s the traffic you get when people look for certain keywords in their search engine and your blog post comes up. I just do basic SEO for my blog posts and my SEO traffic is increasing consistently even though I post only once a week. Here’s what you need to do for basic SEO:

  • Use Ubersuggest to look up keyword options.
  • Pick keywords that don’t get more than 1,000 searches a month at first. It will be easier to rank for them. I even often pick keywords in the range of 100-200 searches a month.
  • Enter your chosen keyword in the Yoast SEO plugin on your Website. The Yoast SEO plugin will help you ensure your post is optimized for your keyword.

Grow Your Influence

Successful network marketers have influence. That’s why some people succeed in building their business using the traditional approach. They enjoy influence in their friend and family circle. However, most people don’t have that kind of influence and that’s where the online world comes in. You can grow your own type of influence in the online world.

YouTube or Podcast

Podcasting is becoming hugely popular and if you don’t want to create videos, you may look into starting a podcast. I know some well-established network marketers who have done it. Personally, I have been using YouTube. Videos are personal and help create a relationship with your audience faster. Moreover, YouTube is not too competitive and you will see results reasonably fast. I made my first network marketing sales from YouTube. Again, it will be essential for you to pick topics that are narrow enough in your niche. Don’t make videos on What I Eat in a Day. Nobody cares!😊

Social Media

Don’t count on social media to get a lot of traffic, but it will give you some engaged traffic. People who follow you on social media and decide to check out your link are more likely to stay on your site longer. You don’t need to spend hours planning your social media content. I use social media as a way to connect personally with my audience. I create stories and posts about life so other women can relate to me. Social media should be used to inspire, educate and entertain. When you do that, it will serve as a mean to grow your influence. Then, you can occasionally promote blog posts and freebies from your blog and your followers will want to check it out.

Follow Up With Your Customers

Now, that’s where the work of network marketing bloggers differs from regular bloggers. As an affiliate, you make sales online and your work is done. As a network marketer, you have the option to provide more customer service. At first, I didn’t want to personally connect with my online customers because I didn’t want to seem spammy. Plus, I could recall a few times when someone had contacted me after I had purchased a product and I found it annoying. But then, I had a customer reach out to me wondering how to set up an Autoship. I realized I was failing my customers by at least not introducing myself and offering that type of information to them. There is a way to send a friendly email or text explaining how you can be reached and how your customers can save money by creating a recurring order. It’s good business practice and it will contribute to a more passive income, which is the advantage of network marketing.

In Summary

Network marketing bloggers use their blogs to grow their online influence and make sales on autopilot. The online world is wide and open, all you need to do is make sure you find the right niche and produce consistent useful content to solve your audience’s problems and you will see results. You will need to keep doing the work even without seeing results at first. Understand that the process will require a lot of learning and experimenting at first but it will pay off in the end.
